For the ALISADUDAJ® Winter Collection*, we set out to craft an editorial that feels both grounded and contemporary. From the earliest conversations, our art direction focused on finding a visual language that honors tradition without revealing it all at once, letting the story unfold through atmosphere, character, and subtle cues.
The challenge was to translate tradition into a modern editorial format without overwhelming the collection. We needed a setting, a cast, and a rhythm that carried emotional weight while still allowing the garments to remain at the center. The task required balancing story with restraint, ensuring that our decisions supported the narrative rather than overpowering it.
We shaped the editorial through intentional creative direction, refining each element to create a layered and meaningful experience. The location was chosen for its balance of heritage and modern structure, setting the stage for a quiet dialogue between past and present.
The casting brought this idea to life, especially with the inclusion of a grandmother figure, symbolizing the roots of tradition. Through composition, pacing, and visual tone, we crafted an editorial that lets the collection breathe and allows its spirit to emerge with depth and authenticity.
